Story
Dolly Moon has been a regular customer with us at the Happy Dog Company for many years and has bonded with many of our staff in this time. We have been there as she has grown older and unfortunately have witnessed her deterioration in more recent years. Dolly Moons owner has also faced medical issues which have left him needing care in his home and as he is unable to leave his flat, we assist in Dolly Moon's care. All of our customers have a loving relationship with their pets, however, due to Stevies situation, Dolly Moon is really at the centre of his life. We have started this page as Stevie doesn't have the means to do so, and we hope that with the help of a few generous donations, we can help Dolly Moon back to full health, so that her and Stevie can enjoy future years of companionship together.
Stevie has written the below plea for Dolly Moon:
'Hi there, my name is Stevie Dior and I'm the dad of Dolly Moon Dior. She has been ruling and living in my life for nearly 10 years and I know everyone says this about their pet, but she really is my world and much more... Several years ago I had a stroke - I used to be a dancer for Top of the Pops and had many individual stage shows, but after my stroke I became isolated and the people I knew dwindled away. My Dolly Moon stayed by my side and saw me through the bad times.
Now it's her turn. She has a horrible growth on her eyelid and the PDSA have told me that it is cancerous and there is no more they can do for us. However, one of our favourite dog walkers, Eva, has met with a local vet and he says that they can operate on her eye. The vets fees for this procedure cost £4500 which in my position I am unable to afford.
So now I have to appeal to you as I can no longer work and have no funds to contribute to Dolly Moon's medical expenses. Even if all you can afford is £2, any donation is one step closer to my best friend staying with me.
We will let you know all about her journey in the future.
Much thanks,
Stevie Dior'
As you can see from Stevie's account, Dolly Moon is an integral part of his life and we think that they both deserve the chance for a future together. Anything that you are able to donate will get Dolly Moon closer to living a better, less painful life, and whether you can donate £2 or £200 every contribution is gratefully received.
The more this page is shared; the further we can spread Stevie and Dolly's story. We just want them to have as much time together as possible and for Dolly Moon to no longer be in pain.
Thanks for taking the time to read Dolly Moon's story, and to all of those who donate, Stevie and the team at the Happy Dog Company are eternally grateful.
