    Story

When the gauntlet was thrown down, only the toughest and bravest stepped up – the result, some of the famous faces of yesteryear, one boxing ring, 8 bouts and the opportunity to raise some cash for 2 of the best local charities around.

Please support our fighters who have devoted weeks to training and put themselves in the firing line for a night of high drama and intensity at Sandy park on 15th March. Our boxing friends have rallied round to bring a number of top class boxers to the ring to fill the card for maximum impact. The two teams of boxers will be led by some very familiar captains as they fight it out to see who will be crowned as Phil’s championship boxing winners on the night.

This also provides the opportunity to raise funds for two very worthwhile local charities that have personal significance to Phil.

DEVON AIR AMBULANCE: In 2017 it cost £6.4 million to keep Devon’s two air ambulances flying. The charity is proud to be independent of Government funding, with all the money raised coming from the generosity of the communities, businesses and friends of Devon. Now in its 26th year, the charity has flown over 26.5k missions and it remains a charity that is very much by and for the people of Devon.

EXETER FOUNDATION: Exeter Foundation supports so many worthwhile local charities that this was an obvious choice for me to make. The charity has raised more than £1million since 2011 to support 80 local projects.

As the great man Muhammad Ali once said, “He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life” so please pledge your support and “Let’s Get Ready to Rumble”!
