    Story

On behalf of myself, Neil, Matt and matts wife Alison we'd all like to say a huge thankyou for all of your generous donations towards our cause! Since we completed our challenge, we have met with Sophie and her fiancé jay.. She is doing very well and remains extremely positive and thankful fo everyday❤️So here is our update!!!!

Some might say once is brave, twice is stupid but three times is utterly crazy! But after meeting with Sophie, Jay and Jays Mum Jo in the bar a few weeks ago it really is a must.

That's right they've decided to do the three peaks challenge again on the 25th august, but this time Neil is doing it with two new recruits... Jay Godfrey(Sophies fiancé) and Tony George (Sophie's dad) who have never done anything like this before .. all in aid of their darling Sophie and her young family. For those of you that don't know, 27year old Sophie George was sadly diagnosed with a stage 4 glioblastoma ( brain cancer) and the worst case scenario is that she could have just 18months of her young life left. We have met with Sophie and her family on several occasions and she remains the most positive, determined, loving, happy soul considering her fight.

After hearing her news, we decided that we wanted to help in anyway we could. We set about raising money towards any medical costs that she might endure and for her to make happy memories for her, jay and Marcie their 18 month old daughter Marcie.

For those of you that don't know Neil, He likes a challenge! He suggested a way of fundraising would be to complete the 3 Peaks Challenge, which involves climbing up and down the 3 tallest peaks in the uk and travelling between them all in under 24 hours.. So in June that is what he and Matt did and in under 20 hours. After they both swore that they would never do it again agreeing it was the hardest thing they'd ever done.. Then someone challenged Neil to do it in less than 10 days later!and in under 20 hrs!! He agreed if he could raise more money then he would.. kindly Orchards holiday park sponsored him and so did the Sargeant family (priory).. he managed to raise over £1000 more and completed the challenge alone in under 19 hours. When we returned from Snowdon to The Hoy we were met by Jo Sophie's mother in law and Matt (whom Neil had done the challenge with the last time) Matt and his wife Alison had sponsored him £100 and a well earned beer if he completed it in less than 19hrs.. and he stuck to his word🍺 We arranged with Sophie and Jay to meet up and when we did Sophie presented Neil and Matt with a trophy for all their hard work in raising money for her and her family.

Once again we're appealing for your help and any local businesses that could sponsor them. We'd like to raise as much money as we can for Sophie🙏 Very kindly the car we used last time was hired from Enterprise of Clacton.. FREE OF CHARGE.. we have spoken to Enterprise and they're willing to do the same again.. if you know of anyone who could donate, not only money but anything that can help Sophie, jay and Marcie enjoy their precious family time together please get in touch..

We thank anyone in advance who is able to help us. Sophie and Jay are getting married on 7th September 2018. They have received so much support with their wedding. People have been so kind in donating towards their special day..

There really are some lovely people around who have managed to keep that beautiful smile on Sophie's face, despite what she's going through. Xxx

    Thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou.xx
