Douglas was born with a ‘heart murmur’ and came to live with us last year. We hoped that this would get better on it’s own, as many do but last week we had the dreaded news (following a heart scan), that it had got much worse. He has been diagnosed as having PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus) and would be very unlikely to survive beyond his first year without surgery to correct this. He is seven months old now and is due to have another scan shortly. Douglas has such a fantastic character & we really want to give him the chance of a normal happy life. Any funds raised will be used to pay for Douglas the puppy’s heart operation. If for some reason any money raised cannot be used for that purpose or the target is exceeded, the money will be donated to the PDSA to help other sick animals.
