14 year old Tom has dyspraxia, development coordination disorder & severe dyslexia. He has a reading age of 6 along with a very very poor working/short term memory, low muscle tone and coordination/space awareness/sensory issues.

Tom has been learning to the play the drums at home & school for 3 years now(ungraded). He finds the coordination and remembering very difficult but thrives on the independence he gains from reading music and the sensory input he receives.

Tom has a very basic electric drum kit with hard pads at home though has been using an acoustic kit at school. He is getting so much more out of the acoustic kit through the sensory input i.e the sounds & the feeling. Sadly we can't have an acoustic at home.
