Each year in May, my daughters school in Alton helps to support a charity that send needy children and their families to a respite "break" in Lourdes, France. The 6th form children support this worthwhile cause by attending and providing support and friendship for the children for the week. Sadly, my daughter Jessica has ongoing health tests that have met the school can not have her travelling. Rather than leave it there, Jessica decided off her own back to organise and run an evening musical convert at the end of April with all funds raised from ticket sales and sponsorship to go to the charity to help pay for families that need financial help to attend the week. Jessica is writing and managing the program of events at the concert, playing, managing rehersales as well as collecting tockets, sorting out refreshments and the like and we are supporting her by asking friends, family and work collegaues to sponsor her event.
