My wife was born with Congenital Dislocation of the Left Hip which the doctors failed to diagnosed even though her parents { mum was a nurse } kept telling them something was wrong! After many operations including many stays at Great Ormond Street one operation was to fit a pin and plate which had to be removed due to Osteomyelitis. She was told at the age of six that she would need a hip replacement when she stopped growing around eighteen, she is still waiting! At the age of 52 her Right hip gave way due to excess wear and tear, the operation was a complete success leaving hospital after three days. Michelle's Left hip now urgently needs replacing she is in a lot of pain and Barnsley NHS will not fund her operation stating she is too overweight 'she is 7 stone lighter than her Right Hip operation! An operation would mean so much she would be free of pain and could return to work { she is a nurse herself} Please Please help us.
