Weʼve raised £322 to Support The Durham Bus Drivers

Funded on Tuesday, 7th May 2019

    Story

Arriva County Durham Ltd made £7 million in profit last year, but are still claiming they can't afford the wage rise of £1 an hour for the second lowest paid drivers in the country.

The drivers from Arriva strikes for 6 straight days last week .Their Union Unite have now announced 10 days further action.

Let’s dig deep as we can and support our Sisters and brothers .

The wage discrepancies across the workforce are terrible. I spoke to drivers this morning on the picket line who are being paid £2 less than other workers but doing exactly the same job and many are on a measly £8.25 an hour !!!

That's not a living wage! It's an absolute disgrace.they can't survive on poverty pay. We can support and ensure their action remains solid .
