    Story

EARC needs a new laboratory unit to provide full range of laboratory services with future intent of providing certain diagnostic and treatment services (including X-rays, CAT Scan, and Cardiovascular Stress testing). Currently, there are no local medical laboratory nearby and the closest available for EARC patients is 8km away, which can be up to an hour drive depending on the traffic. This increases the risks of samples getting contaminated, large wait time for test results and consequently delay in diagnosis and patient’s treatment.

The unit will provide routine and non-routine blood tests that are a fundamental part of the preventative and investigative clinical treatment. The unit will be a state-of-the-art medical laboratory and will be managed by a Medical Doctor. The services will be provided on a fee for service basis to patients, health care centres/clinics and Doctor’s offices in the community.
