Story
Eat it Beat it Defeat it!! The story begins with girls lunch in January. 2018 had been a tough year for Becky and her family. Becky has been battling anorexia and her family had been battling to rescue. They found help within the Community Eating Disorder Team. These nurses who Becky describes as the people who saved her life never gave up on her and helped her every step of the way. Becky’s Mum Lisa wanted to do something to thank them for saving her daughter.
So ... she enlisted a group of friends to take part in the Muddy Trials in May. It hasn’t stopped there Becky and Clare have decided that they will push themselves a little bit further. They will be taking part in 5k Trail in April, The Muddy Trial in May and then the Kilmarnock 10k in June
Please please support us in our cause.
Eat it Beat it Defeat it!!!!!
Here is Beckys story
When i was 11, i was told i was ugly so i got blonde highlights in my hair. When i was 12 i was told that i was worthless so i started wearing alot of makeup. When i was 13 i was told i was fat so i starved myself! #bullyawareness 4 years ago when i had my first visit to cahms i was a scared and broken girl who believed so deeply that she would have been better off dead. Now 4 years on i am still that little girl – some days – but most days i am strong, confident and independent!😁 In August 2017 when i was first admitted to Skye House – i was terrified but months later walking through the doors for what felt like the millionth time, i felt thankful that i was alive to do so!💓 To me Skye House is more than just a hospital it is the place that saved my life. The staff in Skye House and my outpatient nurses are more than just nurses they are angels! I wouldnt be alive if it wasnt for my outpaitent nurses who encouraged me to choose this path and showed me all the benefits of living! Thank you for proving to me that I was never really in control and Infact my illness was! Thank you for always being my shoulder to cry on! Thank you for not letting me die!
I would also say how grateful i am to everyone who is participating in the muddy trial to help raise money for the people who saved my life and many others !!💙💙💙💙Opo
