    Story

George who likes to be called Eddie is a 65 year old father of 2 boys, he is a father-in-law to me since I was 17 years old, (which 19 years ago), he has been a better father to me than my own father. He has 2 grandsons aged 8 and 12. He did all them jobsobody else would do like working on the rubbish bins, environment work like litter picking, cleaning the streets after events and weekend night's out. He cleared the most vile things out of council houses, cleared fly tipping. He worked up to70 hours a week, often not having a day off. He always did overtime, whatever his town needed. Eddie only had 22 days off in 43 years. He has never claimed a single day of state benefit like Job Seekers Allowance or Income Support. Over 2 years ago I noticed him getting more and more forgetful and developed shakes. Over time we found out he had a form of Alzheimer's called Lewy Body Dementia, this is in short dementia with Parkinson's Disease symptoms. Eddie has never hurt nobody and I feel that for him to get this nothing short of evil.

Just before Christmas I found out it was getting worse and quickly I see less of himself in him every week. I know he loves football and has always said he would love to go on an aeroplane for the first time and go to Spain, he has always wanted to go visit Barcelona and have a tour of their stadium Camp Nou. So before Christmas I booked this holiday and paid the minimum deposit with a view to paying it off but time has almost run out to pay the rest before our holiday is cancelled and lose our deposit too. I have now moved him in with me and the boys, because of the change in Universal Credit we lost a good few hundred a month. Grandad has needed a new bed as my little boy gave up his bedroom for him and his bed is too small for Eddie, this cost a few hundred as he needed a memory foam one as advised by his Occupational Therapist. We are awaiting a new house with medically enhanced equipment but not getting anywhere with the council, so we are stuck for the time being paying over the odds to a private landlord for a house that's too small.

Please please help us achieve a life long dream before he is too ill to go. This means so much to all of us, it would be great for his son's and grandsons to forever have this memory of having fun with him. To ensure you are giving to a genuine worthy cause I can supply loads of medical evidence and would be more than happy to show you this upon request.
