Being in my second year at sixth form, I chose to do an EPQ (Extended Project Qualitification), for which I have decided to organise a fundraising concert! The event will be taking place at The Parish Church of St Peter & St. Paul, in Bassingbourn, tonight, Saturday 16th of March 2019, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Juice, hot drinks and cakes will be available during the interval.

A collaboration of amazing and talented musical friends will be playing and singing tonight, including Mary Upton, playing on the piano, Patrick Safford on the saxophone, and many more musicians for a great evening.

The money that I hope to fundraise in this project will go towards a cause that changed my family's life and that of many others. I want the money to go to the Neurosciences Critical Care Unit of Addenbrooke's hospital, where my brother was treated after being diagnosed with third stage Churg-Strauss syndrome in 2015.

All the staff in Addenbrooke's played such an important part in my brother's diagnosis and treatment but it was the Neurosciences Critical Care Unit team that nursed my brother round the clock after his two cardiac arrests caused by the disease at the age of only seventeen. So, I partly owe the life of my brother today to them and wish to work with all of you amazing people to try and do something all together, to thank the people there for saving lives.
