    Story

The challenge: On the 11th/12th/13th April 2019 I will be solo kayaking the 3 lakes challenge of Llyn Tegid in Wales, Windermere in England, and Loch Awe in Scotland. The total distance is 43 miles.

Why I am doing this? This new playground will give the amazing young people at Fiveways the fantastic opportunities to learn whilst playing. Play and movement are fundamental aspects when it comes to learning, those confined to wheelchairs have little opportunities to experience movement or the chance to spin, rock or swing. Other young people may have mobility, balance or coordination problems. Through the new equipment, they will be able to stimulate their sensory systems such as balance, coordination and spatial awareness.
