Story
Less than a month on from Jill's one year wedding anniversary, I will be running a half-marathon in support of a charity which was so close to her heart, Macmillan Cancer Support. Having been looked after by Jill for my first three years of secondary school, her absence has left a gaping void, not just for me, but for all those whom she looked after with such care over her time with the school. Less than a year on from Jill's death at the hands of pancreatic cancer, I hope to be able to aid those currently living through what Jill experienced, to the end that the "Jills" in other people's lives receive the best care and support they can.

The fact that I am running the Lee Valley half marathon came as a surprise to many people, not because of the nature of the activity, but because I am regarded as having the athleticism of a dining chair. Many thanks for supporting such a great cause, and roll on 25 May!
