On Saturday 23rd March Elizabeth (with super-duper amazing friend Victoria) is running/walking/stumbling a 13.1 mile course in the South Yorkshire Peak District National Park complete with kit and backpacks.

As well as raising blisters, Elizabeth is hoping to raise funds for BedsforBullies, a rescue that recently saved the life of 13 year old Keisha. Keisha came to Elizabeth’s practice having had an awful history – can’t go into it, suffice to say she had a chronic cough so bad we initially thought she had cancer, chronic untreated skin disease, and many lumps and bumps including mammary masses. Despite all of this, BedsforBullies managed to find Keisha a forever home and have agreed to cover her extensive medication needs for the rest of her life. They have recognised and appreciated how much enthusiasm she has for life, despite her age and health problems. Just last week they funded more than a thousand pounds for Keisha when she had a bout of pancreatitis over the weekend.
