    Story

On 28th April 2019 I'm going to be running the Stirling half marathon to raise money for Kincardine-in-Menteith Primary School.

Kincardine-in-Menteith is a fantastic little village school in Blair Drummond but with only 25 children in the whole primary school it can sometimes be difficult to raise additional funds. As a result, myself and two other parents thought we'd take on the Stirling half marathon to help raise some more money!

The money raised will be put to great use. The school has recently introduced a new reading programme called Read Write Inc by Oxford University Press that they now want to roll out across the whole school and hence need money for additional books. In addition, we would like to get faster broadband as, due to the rural location of the school, it currently has a very slow internet connection which makes doing anything with the children on the computers/ tablets really difficult. A new broadband provider has recently come to the area offering a high speed internet connection which we'd love to be able to get for the school. We're also looking to get some more sports equipment and also some imaginative play facilities in the Primary 1 and 2 classroom.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Any donations would be very much appreciated as they really do make such a difference to a small rural school.

A big THANK YOU from me and from everyone at Kincardine-in-Menteith Primary School!

I did it! 2 hours and 16 minutes. THANK YOU so very much for all of your amazing donations. The total raised so far is just over £1,200 which is just fantastic. I'm so VERY grateful to you all as it will make a real difference to Georgie's little school. A HUGE thank you once again from both me and Georgie and all of the pupils at Kincardine-in-Menteith! xxx
