This summer I am spending 3 weeks at Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia volunteering and working to help put on a camp for 50,000 people, (40,000 Young people) over 14,000 acres of land. It is the 24th World Scout Jamboree and this year is being hosted by the Boy Scouts of America, Scouts Canada and Asociación de Scouts de México, with Scouts and Guides from over 169 countries attending. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity for many young people and without the time and work of the volunteers the event just would not exist.

Part of my fee for going is also a contribution towards funding for less economically stable countries so that no one misses out and everyone has the same opportunities.
