In July 2019 my daughter Ella will be going on a World Challenge trip to India. Her expedition includes an 11 day trek to the summit of the 6,500m mountain Stok Kangri near the border with Tibet, followed by a community project working at the local primary school or helping Water Aid set up a supply of water to the village.

As part of her fundraising effort, on Saturday 19 May, she is taking part in a marathon walk – starting at Broxbourne, she is walking along the River Lea into London to the Indian Embassy. The walk will take approximately 11 the hours and is around 26 miles long, so quite a challenge but great practice for the final Himalayan trek next summer!

Ella’s trip will cost around £4000, so she would be very grateful if you could sponsor her on the marathon walk. All money raised will go straight to her funds for World Challenge.
