In June this summer I will be making the 40+ hour journey to the South Pacific, to one of the Fijian islands in order to volunteer with the Think Pacific foundation.

I will be staying there for a month and during this time I will be living with a Fijian family in a small underdeveloped village. Alongside other students, we will be teaching basic literacy and numeracy skills and sports coaching to children in remote local schools. The aim is to hopefully make a life changing impact for these young people and to help the village develop.

Think Pacific is a registered charity that works alongside the Fijian government and has already made a huge impact; something we aim to expand on. This includes:

- Built 72 Kindergartens

- 10,000 children supported each year

-14 health clinics built since 2009

- Seen a 40% improvement in literacy in Summer 16

- Seen a 600% increase in sports participation

Any donation made whether its big or small will make a significant difference to the impoverished Fijian children and help us to educate them. The first £400 raised will be going straight to the Think Pacific charity and any funds after that amount will be going towards my own fees for the trip; in order for me to make it there and hopefully make a difference.
