I’m Ellie and I’m a student attending The Kingsway School aspiring to reach my goal of £2000 to go on a trip to Ecuador in the summer of 2020. The core objectives of this trip is to undertake projects in order to assist with ongoing wildlife conservation programs to preserve bio-diversity and protect vulnerable habitats. We will be achieving this by replanting saplings in areas that have been effected by deforestation. In addition to this we will also be raising the living standards of developing communities within rural, crowded districts of Ecuador by providing stable and safe housing for the residents to live in. A water supply will also be installed for them to use as a luxury for their daily life ,whereas for us in the uk it’s a given resource we take for granted so consequently will mean a lot to them. My camps international team will also be constructing larger classrooms accompanied by a toilet and a play area. This means that this improved education environment will give them the opportunity to develop into the human they want to be when they grow up, which in the uk and many other countries is the law. Over 70% of the children do not receive a good standard of education,33% live below the poverty line and 30% have no access to clean water. So our team-over the 4 weeks-will be doing our very best to impede this.This trip is very significant to me as I will accumulate ills such as work ethic, reciprocity and team building.these will help me majorly in my later working life.I would really appreciate any and all contributions to my trip,Thank you.
