    Story

My son, Elliot, was born naturally at 3:59 am on 4th March 2017, and everything had seemed to go smoothly.

However, it was quickly established that he wasn't getting enough oxygen into his system, and was rushed down to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where he began to receive the excellent care he badly needed.

Elliot would spend the next ten days in hospital, where underlying cause was identified (premature closure of the ductus arteriosus), treated and nursed into good health.

We will always be forever grateful to the all staff at Burnley general hospital, especially to DR. Kumar and the team in NICU. That is why i have decided to dedicate my participation in the London Marathon to raise a little money and give something back as a small gesture of thankyou. Thankyou for saving my son's life!

It's only one sixth of the distance and significantly less climbing than the C2C so should be a walk in the park for you! Enjoy the day x
