My son Elliott is going to Borneo to do some vital research on behalf of Operation Wallacea (Opwall). Opwall is a conservation research organisation that is funded by, and relies on, teams of student volunteers who join expeditions for the opportunity to work on real-world research programmes alongside academic researchers. Elliott will be travelling to Borneo in June 2019 to conduct research in the rain forest and on the coral reef. It is costing us as a family approx. £3,000, however we hope to raise funds towards the cost of this, which includes travel, accommodation, (a communal tent), daily food and essential equipment.
