My son needs to raise a total of £3850 in order to go to America with his unit. This is part of the English contingent representing the county at the World Scout Jamboree.
To get this opportunity he first of all had to apply in writing, then pass selection which lasted a full day (worst than an interview)
He is now part of unit 34.
So far he has been creative and made various items to sell, helped out at events and plans to a sponsored walk or run as well as planning other events with his 35 other scouts/explorers.
Money raised will make this trip possible which is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
