Elton is a street cat from Kalamata in Greece. He along with some of his fellow street cats has already been neutered and vaccinated following a fund raise to try to improve the health and length of life of street cats in the area. He is a very loving and friendly cat who just wants cuddles all day and so we have been hoping to find a forever home for him but he has very sadly contracted FPV - Feline Panleukopenia Virus. This is fatal for many cats unless it is treated in time. Elton's vaccination was too late it seems to prevent the illness taking hold. He was rushed to a local vet by a Greek lady who feeds the cats every day - but unfortunately she does not have the finances to pay for all of his treatment as she only has a part time job in a supermarket. The vet is doing all she can to try to save Elton and treats street cats at a reduced rate but still the vet bill is larger than our friend can afford and growing everyday that Elton battles his disease.

We hope to raise whatever we can to help our friend pay for Elton's treatment. If we manage to raise more than the cost of the treatment then any spare money will go towards neutering and vaccinating more street cats so if you are able to help every penny will be put to good use.
