    Story

Hi all, my name is Emily, if you don't already know it, I'm 32 and I'm a teaching assistant and desperate to one day be called 'mum'. I have been suffering from Polycystic Ovaries and endometriosis since the age of 8 (diagnosed in my 20s). Due to my condition I have been unable to conceive. This has been extremely hard to come to terms with. It's hard when practically everyone around you is having children and your trying to put a smile on and be happy for them, when all you are really doing is trying not to cry.
Having been trying with my husband for a baby for 8 years, going through multiple surgical procedures, miscarriages, 7 IVF fails and all the heart ache, physical and mental pain to go with it, we have had to come to terms with the fact I will never carry a baby. This has become a massive strain on our marriage. I am determined not to let this mean the end of us ever having children nor the emd of our marriage.
The only hope is to now go through surrogacy.
Family members and friends had offered to be a surrogate for us but then aren't able to on medical grounds so we had no choice but to find a surrogate which costs more in expenses. Having been looking into this and speaking to a few surrogate host mums, the cost of expenses etc are totalled to around £20,000. This figure is totally unaffordable without calling on the kindness of those who maybe willing to help raise the funds and make this dream of being a mum come true for me.
I hope you don't think ill of me asking for donations as though I'm some 'charity case'... Trust me, I wish I didn't have to do this and just have a baby naturally already or have a spare £20k in my back pocket... Unfortunately life's not been that kind! Thank you in advance!
Emily (hopefully a mum to be) xxx
