Staff from the Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are joining together as a team to take part in the York 10K to raise money for a fantastic cause, the charity Andys Man Club.

This charity seeks to support and empower men to talk about their mental health. They aim to prevent suicide by offering an open place for men to talk about their feelings and experiences with other men who feel able to relate.

They run a weekly support group on a Monday in Leeds, and offer a range of support groups for men throughout the UK.

We recognise that mental illness and suicide has an impact on all of our lives. However their seems to be more of a stigma attached to men struggling with mental illness and feeling able to talk about their experiences. Together we want to promote that it is okay to talk. Help us raise money for Andy’s Man Club, help us spread the word that #itsokaytotalk.
