Lillie has many complex health needs, she has a rare chromosome abnormality, a duplication of chromosome 19q12, she is the only child on the unique chromosome database with this rare disorder, this unfortunately means none of her doctors know what the future holds for her, it generally affects her muscle tone and is affecting her globally including her bladder and bowel to which she will be having treatment for every 6 months starting on the 7th April. She also has the life threatening disease of Type One Diabetes.
Lillie is unable to ride a normal bike like her friends, so her Physio team have suggested a "Slider (Road)" trike so Lillie can be able to ride a bike with the help of splints for her legs.
We applied for funding through a registered charity but due to demands being high, Lillie's application was refused.
Through all Lillie's difficulties and challenges she deals with daily she has the most beautiful SMILE, to which we are mesmorised by.
Nothing stops Lillie, she gets on with life and all the challenges and takes everything in her stride, with her happy, caring, loving and comical ways.
