Operation Bobbi Bear: Working with child victims of sexual abuse

Next year I'll be flying to South Africa to take part in an international volunteer programme 'Operation Bobbi Bear', a human rights organisation committed to helping children who have been subject to sexual abuse and thrown into a criminal justice system that is ill-equipped to enable them to communicate their ordeal in a way that safeguards their well being.

Throughout my stay with the project I will be applying my psychological skills to support these vulnerable children, attending emergency call-outs, providing therapy and trauma recovery to rescued children and working at a local clinic to help develop outreach programmes aimed at bringing rural communities together and empowering child victims.

I have created this page to help fund my volunteering expenses, including an inbuilt donation that will go directly to the organisation itself. Any donations made towards helping me become a part of this inspirational team of volunteers and the life changing work they do will be greatly appreciated!
