Weʼve raised £720 to Help replace Jenna and Lillie's items lost in the fire and furnish their new home

Story
As many of you will have seen in the local paper, a horrific fire happened on Sunday 12th August in my neighbour's house, my lovely friend escaped the fire unscathed but has lost everything, unfortunately she was not insured and so I am asking people to donate whatever they can so that Jenna can begin to rebuild some semblance of a normal life for her and little Lillie. At this present time I'm unsure exactly what Jenna may need, but I do know the damage was mostly confined to downstairs with smoke damage being the biggest issue elsewhere. I would just like to show Jenna and Lillie that our Island community can pull together and help one another in a time of desperate need. All little Lillie's toys were destroyed so any toy donations I'm sure would be gratefully received, like many little girls Lillie loves Shimmer & Shine and unicorns, toy donations can be dropped to me at 14 Hamcroft, but for the present time any other donations of items I'd ask to hold onto until I know what Jenna needs and where they can be delivered. I will update the page regularly to keep you all informed. Many huge, grateful thanks in advance, Emma xx

6 years agoI'm updating to let you all know that Jenna now has been offered a new home! This is fantastic news! please keep sharing the page to encourage donations for new items! The funds raised so far have been drawn down so that they can buy essential items like beds. White goods are kindly being replaced but if anyone has anything in good working order like a spare kettle, lamp, cutlery, basic household essentials please let me know personally so i can make a list, I'm sure Jenna will be grateful for anything! Many thanks for all your support so far!

6 years agoIt's been over a week since my last update but unfortunately we've not had much to update! We've had very kind donations of 2 skips this week to help clear away some of the contents which is amazing! Jenna and Lillie are currently staying with and being supported by family but that of course does not detract from the loss they are both feeling. It's heart warming to know that we can help the girls refurnish when they eventually have their own home again! Please keep sharing so we can help give them the best start in a new home sometime soon!
