2 years ago I lost my mum to Leukemia. In the short time from getting diagnosed on December 15th 2016 to us losing her on January 2nd 2017, she was cared for by the wonderful team at The Queen’s Centre.

Not only did they support my mum, they were amazing for the rest of us but especially my dad. My dad practically moved in with her because in 40 years of marriage they hadn’t spent the night apart.

The Queen’s Centre after a couple of nights on a chair provided my dad with a ‘put up’ bed to allow them to stay together. They don’t have many of these beds and with yout help I would like to be able to provide them with at least 1 more.

In June I will be running The Hull 10K in memory of my mum, to raise money for The Queen’s Centre. I have done it before but this time I’m aiming for under 1 hour!
