I've been inspired by some families that have recently recieved / are receiving treatment on the Riverbank children's ward at Worcester Royal Hospital.
In October I received a letter informing me I had won a ballot place for the London marathon. As daunting as it is thinking about running all those miles I thought this was the perfect opportunity to raise some money and I couldn't think of a better chartiy.
I have started my training and it's going great even getting out when it is freezing outside when all I want to do is keep warm. But the thought of raising money for this wonderful charity keeps me going. I have recently joined the famous Black Pear Joggers running group so I can get out on dark evenings and run in a group rather than by myself.

Any money raised for the children with cancer at Worcester Royal Hospital currently goes into Riverbank's charity account, however it is earmarked for paediatric oncology patients
