Story
We are trying to raise £1000 to enable us to register our current support group, EMPOWER, as an official CIC.
The money raised will go towards the registration of the CIC, the running of the support groups, the running of an official website and various projects and plans in the pipeline.
EMPOWER originally started as a lone support group in Ashford, Kent, UK. However we quickly noticed a need for other services and projects. Currently we hold one support group a month for trans people of all ages and their parents. We aim to eventually split the group into separate ones, including siblings and the children of trans people, to enable us to provide specific advice and support. Although the current support group is in Ashford, we aim to provide other projects to support trans people throughout the UK.
