In July 2019 I will be travelling to rural Uganda to help build a playground for disadvantaged children who go to schools which lack facilities. I will be living and working within the school for a month, building the playground during the morning and teaching the children in the afternoon, through creative play sessions. Every child deserves to enjoy their childhood and not to be forced to grow up too soon.

A playground is a classroom in disguise, children don't know they are learning, but really they are taking in the whole world whilst playing with their friends. Play is incredibly important for children’s learning, wellbeing and for healthy brain development.
