Two years ago Erin was participating in her ballet exam, which she didn't realise would be her last. While stretching, she developed severe pain in her knees and became unable to walk. After over a year of tests and scans, it was decided that she would need a double tibial tubercle osteotomy surgery to correct a bone deformity on both knees. This improved following the operation; however has progressively become an increasing issue yet again. Months after the operation, Erins condition has begun to deteriorate and she is now waiting on recieving her second of many operations to come. Unable to walk, Erin has become reliant on temporary wheelchair hire to enable her to get out of the house and socialise - something which is greatly important for both Erin and her autism. However, this might not be possible for a long term or permanent solution. We have been trying to afford to pay for a new wheelchair, however this is something we cannot afford at the moment given our circumstances and income ( my husband has bilateral menieres disease meaning he is unable to work and I have to care for my husband, whellchair bound daughter and mother who is also unable to walk.) Bring given the gift of being able to provide a permanent means to help my daughter's mobility would mean so much to both me and my daughter. Thank you for your time and generosity.
