    Story

Ernest has passed through three years of medical school and is now in his fourth. In Uganda, you need to pass through five to complete University. He does well in all his exams and is so determined to be a good doctor that he spends his holidays learning practical skills in hospitals near his family home, in Kampala. This is where we met in June this year.

Not only was he incredibly helpful to me, as a newcomer, in Uganda but he constantly went out of his way to make me, and others, feel welcome and show us his life in Uganda.

Normally, he funds his, and his siblings, University fees by rearing and selling chickens. Unfortunately, in October, the chickens caught a sickness and were lost. The business that usually keeps his studies afloat has therefore been seriously damaged and he is struggling to find the money to pay tuition fees.

This £500 will help Ernest to pay for his next semester of University, so that he can finish his fourth year. It will also help get the chicken business back on track so that he can continue to support his and his siblings fees and they can get through higher education.

Please give generously to support this bright, generous and inspiring man!
