I am hoping to raise awareness and funding to provide services for a growing problem in our communities, of people who have the audacity to make false accusations of rape and sexual assault and the damage this causes those who stand falsely accused. False accusers dont discriminate, this can happen at anytime to anyone, male, female, young, old, past, present and their lives as they know it will spiral out of control.

False accusers don’t only cause serious damage to the mental health of those they accuse, but also to the accused’s reputation, career, extended family members, social circles, often resulting in the accused having to move away from the area or contemplating suicide.

This also damages real victims of sexual assault and rape and takes away the severity and trauma from those victims, which can cause them to fear pursuing legal action in a bid for justice for fear of not being believed, or judged for speaking out.

There is a huge lack of support services for those who have found themselves under investigation. imagine if you, as a law abiding citizen came under scrutiny and had to undergo a series of police interviews, tell people who will most certainly question and doubt your character (your boss, colleagues, friends, family), what youve been accused of (“theres no smoke without fire” & our “prove your innocence” mentality). Those falsely accused have been known to suffer PTSD, depression, have suicidal thoughts, self harm, and severe anxiety to name but a few, as a result of false accusations.
