    Story

Duncan is a recovering alcoholic and has just celebrated 4 years of sobriety. Having been given a second chance at life he decided he wanted to give something back. In 2015 he mountain biked across the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors and raised just under £7000 for the rehab unit that helped to save him from addiction.

This year Duncan is back on the road, mountain and moors and his chosen charity is FASD Aware NI. Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) are a series of disorders that affect babies when they are exposed to alcohol during pregnancy including brain damage.

Duncan and his friend Michelle will be completing a two day triathlon running, mountian biking and kayaking across Scotland. With his wife (in a powered vehicle) running the support team, they aim to raise as much money and awareness as possible for this small charity.

The funds will be used for the following:

To help families affect by FASD to get the right diagnose and support.

To help run support groups for the children and families affected by FASD.

To help with the creation of Youth Gaming Groups for children affected by FASD.

To help us change the NHS guidelines to include the dangers of alcohol consumption during pregnancy.

Please share and help if you are able.
