As we all have heard and observed, gaining any sought of recognition in the music industry is hard, even harder for those without the access or the economic backing to equipment and recording space. I was lucky to have been brought up in and around a family of active musicians, however many teenagers and young adults do not have the resources to express their musical talent or to even explore the freedom that making music can provide. Many disadvantaged teens and young adults may only have access to the opportunities and resources provided by limited local institutions such as their school or college, however this may be contradicted if those resources are substantial. The disadvantaged lack the ability to buy or use their own equipment or access a real recording studio, which is why I want to use my experience to coach and provide for those underprivileged, and give them a fair chance. I believe it is vital to provide new opportunities for the young, by partnering with schools and colleges we can expand our reach and influence, giving us the ability to grow and impact the lives of as many underrepresented musicians as possible.

I would like to be able to provide a free sound recording space for young artists to learn and create the music that otherwise they would be unable to. This would include providing a fully equipped recording studio, a sound engineer and music coaches, all free of charge for those who would partake. We would manage and promote our successful musicians and take small royalties in order to sustain the organization.

In order to setup a sustainable and functioning music studio and business, we require an initial push to pay for equipment and marketing. A fully equipped studio would include, a mixing desk, surround sound speakers, a computer with recording software, synthesizers, keyboards, drum kits, guitars, microphones, soundproofing, and other technical equipment. Your donations could enable us to provide the young and disadvantaged with a chance to succeed, and a chance to express themselves in a format that otherwise they would lack.

Making and producing your own music can provide a sense of worth and pride, something progressive like this course will allow those disadvantaged to pursue something which in the end could provide them with an income. With your financial backing, you could be responsible for providing a second chance.
