This is the best way I have found to reach as many people as I can.

The aim of this page isn't really the money, it is to source materials and skills.

Due to recent circumstances changes, I have bought a caravan as my main accommodation.
No need to tell you about the housing crisis or the struggle finding accommodation is in rural areas.
As I (financially) had to make this choice I decided to use this as an opportunity to put some of my dreams to the test.
As a nature lover, I would like to go off grid in attempt to reduce my energy consumption and provide for it through renewable energies.
So I am looking for all kind of advice about saving energy, easy DIY renewable energy project, rain water collection...

I also would like to re design the inside to suit it to my needs. Probably starting with insulation, floor, walls, means of heating/cooking, maximize storage space...

But to do all of this, I'd like to use recycled, unwanted materials.

Here is why I need your help:
-have you ever heard/seen/worked on such a project? I'd like to hear what works, what doesn't and maybe learn some skills.
-Have you DIY materials gathering dust? Wood, lino, nails, screws, paint...

This project is emerging from struggles but reaching towards my dreams.

I also would love to share what I learn through this process, and what life off grid have changed for me once I settle.

Might be pushing my luck but if by any chance someone in the Lakeland area would like to welcome me on their land for a bit, I'd be extremely grateful.

It's a one month challenge... I should move in before the 24th February 2019.
