FFDK take disabled children and young carers fishing, supply all the gear, licenses and tuition completely free of charge. The difference fishing make to the children's lives is amazing, socialising with others, being part of a group and achievement in something that they often don't get a chance to do or try. Everything is done through donations. We try to make sure all the children have the equipment they need for themselves so they can go fishing at other times if they want to. This year we are hoping to take some of the more experienced children and their families to a lake to catch bigger fish than at the lake we normally use but this will cost us more than usual and we are hoping to have a week at Angling Projects again.
