Hi everyone

I am writing this and I really don't where to start..

my name is Darren and I am a young father to two beautiful girls aged 10 months and 3.

I come from a modest small Irish family in Dublin the youngest of 3 boys,it was a an up and down childhood,my father died when I was only a baby so I was determined when I became a father to do everything in my power for my children.

I am a regular church goer I would say my faith is important to me and I in turn want to pass on that strength and friendship to anybody in need.

In may of this year I was driving home from work at around 10pm,it was a calm summers evening I was looking forward to seeing my family.

As I was driving a car in front on the opposite side overtook the truck in front of him and sped up trying to get back in in time.

He didn't get back in and I was forced to swerve off the road,as I did,my car lost control and flipped several times landing on its roof.

I don't really remember anything after this but as a result I suffered a spinal cord injury which has left me unable to walk.

The gravity of what has happened to not just me but the effect on my family is only beginning to sink in,the emotional suffering is sometimes more painful than the realisation of my situation.

so today with a heavy heart(I've never been one to ask) I am appealing to you the reader if you can donate what you can for the purchase of an electric standing wheelchair.

this piece of kit would allow me unaided to get around and achieve some sort of independence without burdening my family too much.

i would be forever grateful and keep you in my prayers if you could manage a small donation
