Today my 82 year old nan was robbed of £1900 by two lowlife con men.This money was her only savings and shes been left with nothing. The police are involved but have told us its highly unlikely they will ever recover the money.
She lives on acre crescent in Eccleshill.This morning two men both in navy blue boiler suits and blue beenie hats knocked on her door and insisted she needed her roof replacing on her bungalow, he even went as far as to drive her to the bank In her own car to draw the money out!!! They ripped tiles off her roof and threw them all over her garden from the top of the ladder leaving smashed tiles everwhere. Then just like that they were gone. My nan is one of the most wonderful people I know she is one of my best friends and I am not only angry and disgusted but heartbroken this has totally broken my nan she is even blaming herself I'm just going to try raise some money for her really to assure her that there are still good people in the world and she has people that care about her.
