Story
We want to invite you to celebrate progress, hard work, overcoming fears, adapting to change and finding new paths.
We want to arrange the most special and spectacular end to our rollercoaster 6-month traineeship for the WeMindtheGap trainees. The traineeship gives new opprtunities in life and work to under-served young women aged 18-25 in our local communities by providing totally holistic, paid six months traineeship (including five work placements) and ongoinf support thereafter.
No words can express what we have all shared over these months together, and how much the trainees have given and achieved, sometimes when there was nothing left to give. They have kept going, they believed, overcoming struggles and achieving what they initially thought was impossible.
Now, in their final week in April, Laura and Jane want to make the trainees’ trip to London a memory that lasts a lifetime.
During the traineeship, music has been so important; whether singing our hearts out in the car together, or when reflecting on tough times, sad times and fun times.
So, we would love to organise one last sing along for the trainees, by treating them to a West End Musical in London.
Our goal is to raise £350 for 10 seats on a Tuesday night in London, to see Thriller. We have managed to find a better price of £33 per seat instead of £75 which we hope makes our target acheivable. We have had an offline donation from a London Business Woman towards the £350 target. They cant hold the seats forever so time is of the essence to book. £350 includes the £330 for 10 tickets, booking fee and justgiving fees. Any surplus would be used to buy soft drinks/ snacks.
Can you help us make this a reality for our deserving young women? Are you able to spare as little as £5 towards our target?
You’ll be contributing not just to a seat to a musical, but an experience offering memories to last a lifetime. To these young women, your support sends a message of hope, encouragement and love on their journey of change.
You can see updates of our trip to London on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/WeMindTheGapUK/
