A father of four children, Forid Khan was born into severe poverty that resulted in the most difficult of starts to his life. Forid went to school when he was a child but due to the lack of sufficient income he had to abandon his education and start working on building sites and paddy fields to afford basic necessities like food.

By spending most of his childhood and adult life working on building sites and paddy fields, so he could feed his family, Forid developed an infection called Onychomycosis due to his constant handling of wet and damp materials. This is a fungal infection that affects the fingers and toenails. As fungal infections normally develop over time, Forid didn’t think much of it until it was too late. His fingers and toenails have been damaged to the extent he is not able to work and sustain his family anymore.

Forid has been living in extremely squalid conditions and his home is now beyond any repair. As he is not able to work properly, he is not able to earn an income, which has made his and his family’s situation dire and desperate.

I am trying to raise money for the Khan family so they can have a roof over their head before the harsh monsoon season, which is imminent in Bangladesh.

The cost of building their home is going to be approximately £2500. Please help with whatever you can.
