On Saturday 6th April my daughter Maddy and I are entering some hell called "Wild Mud Run 2019". This is a 10k run which includes over 60 challenging obstacles. We aren't of course doing this out of choice, golf is more my pace, so it would have to be for a special reason...

The above photo is of our friend Keith, a great bloke who loves his Raleigh Choppers and who has a daughter and son, Millie and Alex, who are the same age as ours. Just over two years ago, whilst was undergoing heart surgery, Keith suffered a major stroke which badly affected his speech, balance and ability to walk. Keith was at the time self-employed and obviously hasn’t been able to work since. However, with the amazing support of his family and friends and a large dose of determination, he is fighting back and trying to slowly rebuild his life.

All the money raised from this foolish thing we’ve signed up for will help Keith to get some more physiotherapy sessions, as all physio through the NHS stopped 8 months following his stroke. We’re hoping to raise £700 which would pay for 10 essential physio sessions. Any donation you could make, however large or small, would be greatly appreciated by myself, Maddy, Keith and his family.
