Sammy is a valued member of the VW community and an all round volkswagen fan. Sammy is 34 years old and has down syndrome. On the 11th of september Sammy was unfortuantely taken ill and ended up in hospital With bowel issues. The bowel had twisted under his rib cage causing his lung to be pushed up to the top of his chest.

He had an operation to have the twisted part of the bowel removed. Thankfully the operation was a sucsess However sammys lung filled with fluid so he had to be put to sleep to have it cleaned out. This caused him to be put on oxygen for 2 weeks to help him breath! We are all happy to say that Sammy is on the mend and home with his family.

We want to reach out far and wide for donations to say thank you to the careers who helped Sammy during his time in hospital. There has been a VW cruise set up at hayling island for the 27th of january 2019 for all to go along to. Feel free to donate anything you can!
