To all my wonderful friends,

In 10 days I will celebrate my birthday, knowing that I have a wonderful warm home to go to. I think that is the best gift I could ever have been given and I pray that it is the same gift I get every year.

That is why, for my birthday this year I would love to extend this gift to others who are battling homelessness. Unfortunately, in a world where we have so much, there are many people who live with nothing. For many, homelessness is not just about being without a home, but it also requires extensive counselling and care in order to function within the community. In short, these people don't just need money, they need time and people who care.

I was so lucky, because in my time of need I was saved by the kindness of a wonderful family, the House family. The truth is, they gave me a place to stay but that wasn't the most valuable thing I was gifted. They showed me true selflessness and kindness. It is obvious that without this, I could not have grown into who I am today.

Please, if you are able, donate anything you can. Whether that be money or any of the items I will be collecting to make into parcels for the homeless shelter in Leamington Spa. I will be buying hats, scarves and other winter essentials. I will also be making parcels with feminine hygiene products and other essential products.
