Story
I am fundraising to support the costs of my charity trip to Jong Ra school in Cambodia. The aim of my visit is to teach and support children in the School there, that my school, Redmaids' High, has helped raise for and build. This is such an important scheme as it educates children in areas where there was no previous educational opportunities. Education is vital in Cambodia as it gives hope to the future generations to rebuild their community after the genocide of 1979 that murdered 1.7 million people, leaving only the working class to rebuild the country. Education is important! A child born to an educated mother is 50% more likely to survive past the age of 5 which is crucial in Cambodia where 1 in 8 children dies before his or her fifth birthday. Education also reduces the risk of child trafficking which is a major problem in Cambodia and also improves sanitation in a country where a majority of diseases can be prevented by adequate sanitation. So please give anything you can to get me to Cambodia and help the Children of Cambodia to live longer, healthier and happier lives. We need to get these children healthier, happier and educated so that they can help themselves in the future. Please give what you can to help fund my trip. Any donation is appreciated greatly.
