Story
Hi everyone!
We are four UWE students who have signed up to climb Everest in September 2019 for HopeforChildren! This amazing charity focuses on enabling every child to access better education, healthcare, and a stable environment. In the last four years alone they managed to help over 161000 people achieve these goals and are currently operating in 9 countries, including Nepal. We would love to help this charity to continue doing the amazing jobs they're doing! 15 thousand pounds is a huge target for us to aim for but its a charity we're all passionate about and we really think we can do it with your support!
For an example of some of the work these guys do, check out this story about Radhika, a girl in Nepal who is being assisted by HopeforChildren in her dreams of becoming a software engineer and overcoming the gender barriers she faces every day: https://www.hope-for-children.org/stories-of-hope/story-hope-meet-radhika
We've got some amazing fundraisers coming up between now and September including car washes, bake sales, pub quizzes, raffles, and many others! Please follow @friendsforeverest on Instagram to keep up with our fundraising!
Our Everest trip is being organised through chooseachallenge.com which is the UKs leading charity trip operator. This not-for-profit organisation works to enable students like us to complete challenges like this for charity. https://www.chooseachallenge.com/
Thanks for any donations - we really appreciate every pound donated to this amazing charity!
Love from Georgia, India, Millie and Rhi xx
