Hi to everyone reading my fundraising story. I would like to raise £1500.

I represent Sacred Heart RC Primary School, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, and I sit on a very small committee called Friends of the School that consists of volunteer parents who provide as much time as possible to raise funds to support the children's needs.

We have families who cannot afford to contribute towards their children's activities such as swimming lessons and school trips, or in some cases, even provide school uniforms, so we exist to help fund those shortfalls.

We also help support the school in terms of contributing towards the purchase of much-needed equipment.

It is a time-consuming volunteering role but is time worth giving up to aid an extremely valuable cause to help support the children and the school.

In the words of Whitney Houston "I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way.” My heart goes out to children, I love their abilities, their innocence, and their passion to learn, and I believe in this quote, from the bottom of my heart.

I know there are many similar groups that exist for their own local schools, but clearly, there is a need for extra funding support, which is why we all exist.

Therefore can you please make a small contribution to help me raise the funds for the children of this school and help me get to the £1500 target?
